Under The Weather
10 Mar 2023

If you think about it, being “under the weather” is a weird expression. I mean, that applies to everyone except a fistful of astronauts. No one’s above it – right? And yet when I say it you know what I mean. And I do mean it: I am currently under the weather. I’m sick. I got a bad case of flu. I’m not leaving the house, I can’t concentrate and I feel immensely sorry for myself. I envy that dog.

Good thing its happening now so I can get it out of the way before the movie production resumes. Other work suffers a little bit.

I was sick after my second pandemic shot for a full day (I’m sure it was good for me and all that).

Other than that, this is my first English sickness.

It’s no fun – I seldom get ill of any kind as it is – but it’s not the hot, tropical bugs of death that I grew up around.

In the meantime, here’s a pic of a person playing with their dog outside, under a different kind of weather. Very jealous. This was still during autumn… whereas right now we’re most definitely heading for Spring. We’re having one last, mean cold snap – and then this flu goes – and I will run into the sun in a public park, naked, panting and chasing balls.
