Just Looks A Little Different…

A different kind of river flows between islands of stone…

With rustling noises the first clue that there is a lot alive. With birds around, and squirrels. Marching ants and buzzing insects and all kinds of activity around.

It’s smaller, more discreet. Less bombastic and self assured.

It’s industrious and very busy – spends no time at all reflecting or at leisure or contemplating meaning.

It follows the seasons perfectly – with new blooms in spring and exuberant abundance in summer and dignified retreat in autumn and stark and bare in winter – and it does not mitigate the seasons or ignore them in air-conditioned control of nature.

It is all still life, yes. Life never goes away, never vanishes. It just looks a little different…
