A Temple In The Trees
14 Feb 2024

A temple peaks through the trees, and though I try to stay hidden, it sees my soul. I look back at it, a little shrine to Rome and its gods, probably stolen from the Celts, and now claimed by our Lord and Saviour. A lot easier to keep the flock when – rather than build something brand new – you simply put up a sign that says “Under New Management”.

But you see, there’s something even little ole me has figured out.

There is a spirit here, and it is strong, and it is wise, and peace, and love, and holy.

But the temple is the trees, yawl.

That building, cute though it may be, is just garnish.
